Description: The back of each brick is stamped with a maker’s mark similar to Ancient Roman, crescent shaped, brick stamps. In this case, the crescent maker’s mark is in the shape of a head with an Afro. The etymology between the Italian word for slave (schiavo) and the greeting, ciao, is highlighted.
